And I have known it longer than you. The best way to get police cooperation in my town is to be friends with the officers, especially the higher ranking ones. Actually, they are very good; we just know that a little schmoozing helps. But if you want to read about police officers <I>getting caught,</I> take a look at what's been going on in Madison, CT. (You can search through www.nhregister.com) It's almost getting funny; one reporter whose vocabulary wasn't perfect said some cops had been "cavorting" with prostitutes. (Someone changed it to "associating" by the next day. Ahem.) <strong><em>8/7/08: I learned that long ago, actually.
